ukss6.layerip.com – Disk subsystem maintenance
We need to inform you that one of the HDDs in the RAID array on the server ukss6.layerip.com demonstrates an unstable behavior that can result in the electro-mechanical failure in the nearest future. It needs to be replaced as a matter of urgency, so in order to avoid any possible problems and undesirable consequences we’re shutting down the server and will carry out a maintenance work.
ETA: it is expected to take ~30 minutes (including FSCK and quota check during the boot).

We sincerely apologies for such delay in reinstating the server workability. It was caused by the too long executing of FSCK and RAID rebuild process.

We have to inform you that an emergency maintenance needs to be carried out on the server ukss6.layerip.com. It’s related to the recent replacement of the failed HDD. During the monitoring period we noticed an abnormal behavior of the whole disk subsystem, which causes improper functioning of some services. Please be informed that an interruption in the MySQL service functioning may be observed during the maintenance.
