Anonymous name servers planned change
This is to inform you that we will be gradually migrating away from our older nameservers and no longer recommend you use these:
ukns100.abstractdns.com
ukns101.abstractdns.com
ns100.webhostingbuzz.co.uk
ns101.webhostingbuzz.co.uk
We have already setup and added to cluster new name servers, which are:
ns100.layerip.com – 37.61.233.194
ns101.layerip.com – 104.196.20.20
This is being done as a part of our re-branding to Jolt from WebHostingBuzz UK.
ETA: it is not an urgent change for all our customers, old name servers will still be fully available for several months from now. But we would recommend you to make this change at your earliestĀ convenience.
There should be no DNS propagation with this change, since all these name servers are in one cluster and pointed to the same IP addresses.
For reseller customers who do not use private name servers – before changing name servers at the registrar it is strongly recommended to update NS-recordsĀ in the DNS Zone on the server. Most of our servers have ‘Edit DNS Zone’ feature enabled, and you can do it there. In case you cannot find it in WHM – please contact us at HelpDesk or via Live Chat, and we will enable it for you.
For reseller customers who use private name servers – your private name servers will not be affected in any way.
For shared hosting customers – NS-records cannot be changed through cPanel, so please contact us via HelpDesk or Live Chat providing the list of domains, and we will change NS-records on the server for you (in case you have many domains – better submit a ticket via HelpDesk). Changes on the registrar side will still need to be done yourself.
All newly setup accounts will have correct name servers in the DNS Zone, and we recommend to point the domain to new name servers at once.
We will update you here additionally once we have any plans on when the old name servers will be disabled.
