We’ve identified the root cause of the 503 errors whilst accessing the WordPress dashboard and the team are now applying a fix to all affected services, we will issue another update as soon as we’re confident the issue has been fully addressed.

  2. The Jolt Team says:

We’ve applied the fix to all affected services and you should now be able to access your WordPress dashboard again. However, we are still verifying the changes and will issue another update once we’re confident that the problem has been resolved (as well as more information on the issue itself).

  3. The Jolt Team says:

We have had no further reports of 503 errors since we applied the workaround earlier this morning.

The problem was caused by an update by our security vendor (Imunify360) and the recommended fix at this time is to disable their Proactive Defense feature. Once Imunify have confirmed that the problem with the update has been addressed, we’ll enable Proactive Defense again.

Rest assured, having Proactive Defense temporarily disabled does not leave your websites or email exposed to any significantly increased risk, there are still multiple layers of security in place to protect your account.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by today’s issue, we greatly appreciated your patience and understanding whilst we investigated.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this incident, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
